My Uncle Dan Dulaney served aboard the Monmouth County during 67-68 as a navigator, I believe. He now lives in Quincy, IL. I can remember him sending letters on the ship's stationary to us at home. I had always planned to build a detailed of her someday, and still hope to do so. I always wondered what finally happened to her, many LST's eventually went to the Phillipines. I was only 8 or 9 yrs old then but still remember his letters and pix he would send. We all were proud that he served in Vietnam then & now, something that was never popular and we kids knew that. God Bless all of you on this guestbook who have served your country selflessly.

Arrived to the beautiful confines of Nha Bhe from a demo job we had just finished in Cho Lon. The "Rach On" bridge needed to be dropped (or what was left of it) for replacement by the RMKBRJ Construction company. "A FOND MEMORY" was the day that we had inserted (in the Rung Sat Special" and destroyed a salt and rice cache, then moved in land (or what there was of it) and ended up blowing several bunkers, some usable (by Charles) air debris, an ammo cache, a half dozen hootches and then scrambled to an extraction co-ordinate. We got there after about 7 hours in the bush and plum tuckered. Just after we got picked up 2 SEAL squads also extracted and then my first encounter with a ZIPPO h a p p e n e d!!! I wondered what the heck there was a MIC boat there for. All of the boats floated out a safe distance and the ZIPPO lit up the jungle. As usual (unofficially) there was brew on board the PRB we were on, and we tipped a few, watched the inferno and then headed back to Nha Bhe. I'm not sure what came of the body count etc. but it turned out to be one nice day!!! Anybody remember that day...send me an e-mail...

Was part of a tenant command at NSD Cat Lo. Worked as clerk (Yeoman) for commanding officer, Commander John Sullivan and Executive Officer, James Johns. Was there to witness the turnover of assets to Vietnamese Navy. Had many good times in Vung Tau and on the "administrative" trips to Saigon. I have fond memories of my other shipmates and some of the pranks we fabricated to overcome boredom. Vietnam changed my life as I'm sure it did for others - the Cat Lo experience was certainly the trigger. The war was relatively quiet during my stay, but Tet 71 land 72 were a bit scary. Always thought it would be nice to re-visit the place to see how it has changed over the years. Anyone interested in forming a group?

Men, I need your help, mostly your memories. At Ben Luc// a gook would sit up on the bridge and fire a tracer round either up or down the river, then we being a smart bunch, well we'd follow that tracer! Another night a willy peter was either thrown on board, or it dropped from someones web gear, pulling the pin out. It was tossed over board in time, and exploded in the river. Luckly for the 2nd boat. Charlie RPGED us again in a canal, I was riding along side the forward gunner, with is duel fifty's, we were all firing, screaming on our way to hell. Then we started to over run the ilumination flares, and the dam canisters started falling from the sky! banging of the deck! splashing all around us. We pulled into the nipa, it had low sides and we could see charlie a running. I pulled out my M-79 and with the help a crew member we started raining H.E.'s, on charlie, whatever your name was, thanks for passeing the ammo. We did joint ventures, pbr's,seals, rangers. The time line I'm looking at is April/May/June/July. One night we had a real Jona. Tried to insert through the nipa, I went over the side into the water, and the mud, when the switch for the flood lights got knocked on. Tried a 2nd insertion further down, got over the side, then the Raido started blasting ,' RANGER ONE OVER, RANGER ONE OVER. I drank alot of water that night. If you were there, then you know what happened on the 3rd attempt for insertation. Answer that here, and I'll know I got the right guys...Whats happening is we need some sort of verifacation, that our team, was really there, under orders of Co.E ranger's. We need, afadavids? I know, what a bunch of BS. I figure if you men remembers us, then cool, we could REALLY use your help on this one. Also, If there is a member of the seal team from that area reading this, well chief, we need your help too. I had found the orginal orders in a Museum! in Fort Lewis Washington state. None of these ranger orders showed up in our 201 jacket's. And I traded them for a combat patch. Not knowing that I would need them 30 years later! As I write this, an asst. curator is searching for them. But, I was hopping for more. You are men we fought along side with, an barring a complete " Over run " you would not have left us out there. Please contact me, we are getting together for a reunion, and I'd love to take something with me, of you guys, and us guys. thank you all...Ranger One out. ps. You know what would be cool?, a joint re-union of the different services, who shared blood. Thanks guys.

Left Guam-Proutues AS 19 in 3 of 66 for shore duty at San Diego NTC.Didn,t to push boots so opted to be a instructor at a new kind of boat school ? Cycled throught some classes in Conorado assault boat school and then to Mare Island to set up and teach a boat we didn't yet have and a war-fare we new very little about. But with the skillfull guidance of Cdr Dusty Rhoads and the old grandaddy seal LT Roy B. we got the job done. From there I found myself back back at Phib. Base Coronado in a 13 week course CI-13-33. A rushed Language course/ week of SEAR at warner Springs/ a few days at Camp Pendelton for weapon training/ a day or so with the UDT in Coronado on c4 and big boom stuff and then a punched ticket to Travis and Nam. No time in between to pass go or pick up our 200 bucks. I had orders to be in on the turn-over of our Brown Water Navy to the RVN boys but was a little early for that gig so was sent up to Nha Trang to the RVN NTC. That was a real stroke of luck . Hooked up with my old Cdr. from my CI-13-33 class. Talk about McHales Navy. We lived in the city- in a rented house. REFERENCE: Kerry Questions on Your Site 03/14/04 Article Quoting Gunner’s Mate Steven Gardner (Article Attached Below) 1) Requesting help understanding Mr. Kerry’s actions. 2) Mr. Kerry's atrocity allegations, throwing his medals, etc. 3) Attached Article: Kerry Rejects Gunner’s Mate Claims Honored to be on the “Brownwater” page! Found your site during a “Kerry” search after reading above article. I was a rifle platoon leader and company commander with the 173d (Airborne)Infantry – 2d Battalion (’68–’69)and very lucky. Received the same medals (SS, PH, BS) awarded to Mr. Kerry. I clearly recall some of Mr. Kerry’s early ‘70s anti-war activities and accompanying media exposure: throwing his medals on the capitol stairs, speeches, testifying in the Senate about the ‘pervasiveness’ of US military atrocities (“officers at every level…were fully aware … raped… sliced ears…severed heads…shot civilians…killed babies …cut off ears….poisoned food…”)? The above remarks would include my fellow infantrymen. He's accusing me! I disagree. I was impressed with his speaking skills. I wasn’t aware of the (now reported) assistance from the Kennedy family’s speechwriters. (See vietnamveteransagainstjohnkerry.com) Although I disagreed with Mr. Kerry, I understood many of the reasons one could disagree with the war. I strongly disagreed with and was troubled by Mr. Kerry’s choices for communicating his opposition and the tactics chosen to forward his cause. I recall my disbelief seeing him fling his medals at the capitol stairs. I think I literally jumped from my chair. It was startling to see a combat veteran, a person obviously knowledgeable of the significance of these special awards AND a former ‘leader’ – ‘combat’ leader! How could a person of this background treat his and his nation’s war medals with anything but reverence? Mr. Kerry not only lacked reverence, his actions were a mockery. The forum was clearly one of high national and international visibility. Mr. Kerry had to be aware his actions could be observed by his own men, his buddies, his former unit, others still serving in Vietnam, as well as the enemy! What would explain this? At the time my own thoughts often included, as I’m sure you experienced: “I don’t know anything about the men. I’m out of communication. Who got hurt? Why? Where are the units? What is their situation? Leader demanding they clean their weapons, insisting they dig in, demanding their best …is it with respect?” This leaders’ actions didn’t make sense to me. Although I tried, I could not come up with a scenario where I could put some logic to Mr. Kerry’s actions. What were his men’s thoughts when they had to watch this? His buddies? Years later, I was unexpectedly asked about Mr. Kerry’s actions. Particularly his assertions regarding the pervasiveness of atrocities (“officers at every level…were fully aware…raped…severed heads…shot civilians…killed babies …cut off ears….poisoned food…etc”. I recall the question that should not have caught me by surprise, but did, “Didn’t everyone do it?” I was stunned for a moment. ‘People really think this!’ For whatever reason, at that instant, for the first time when thinking of Mr. Kerry I recalled some troubled combat veterans I worked with after the war. Some carried the burden of having an experience(s) in combat, they later regretted deeply. Something most could not talk about. Something they struggled with to resolve for themselves. As best as I recall, it wasn’t something observed. It seemed to be something they participated in, were unable to confront, perhaps thought they allowed or whatever. (I am not a doctor.) The situation could result in negative behavior or actions that seemingly had nothing to do with combat. In conclusion, I remain curious as to the senator’s post-war actions. They do not make sense to me given the available facts. Recently I read (Viet Vets Against Kerry site) Lt. Kerry volunteered to return to Vietnam for an additional 6 months. Then asked to leave early after his 3d purple heart. I’d never heard of this rule over in the infantry. A leader requested this? How does a person volunteer for a 6 month extension, then request the early out and proceed to the nation’s capitol to publicly protest the war. That war he extended for? If any of you can help me with possible explanations, I’d be grateful. Do any of you know anyone who served with or around Mr. Kerry that could help us with genuine facts that would make sense of his actions? I thank you very much! Chris McCann JMcCann173[ at ]aol.com Attached is the article from today’s “Scotland Sunday”, quoting Gunner’s Mate Steven Gardner, that seems to add more questions. KERRY REJECTS CLAIMS THAT HE WAS A COWARD http://scotlandonsunday.scotsman.com/politics.cfm?id=295612004 Sun 14 Mar 2004 KIM MUNRO US SENATOR John Kerry last night fought off accusations he was a coward and had made strategic mistakes in battle during the Vietnam War. The Democratic challenger for the White House was embroiled in fresh controversy after one of his former crewmembers accused him of being someone "who ran from the enemy". It was reported last night that Steven Gardner, a gunner’s mate on the first patrol boat commanded by Kerry in the Mekong Delta, contradicts accounts of the senator’s military career that depict him as a brave and aggressive lieutenant who won three Purple Hearts, which are a key element of his campaign against George Bush. He personally killed a Viet Cong fighter in one action and was wounded three times, though not seriously. However, in an interview with the Boston Globe, which contacted him about the presidential candidate, Gardner claimed: "He [Kerry] absolutely did not want to engage the enemy when I was with him. "He wouldn’t go in there and search. That is why I have a negative viewpoint of John Kerry. "His initial patterns of behavior when I met him and served under him were of somebody who ran from the enemy, rather than engaged it." Gardner also claimed that in an incident in 1968 in which he was slightly wounded, causing Kerry to abort the boat’s mission, he said: "Lt Kerry, I’m fine, nothing’s wrong. I got a little flesh wound here. "But Kerry was already backing out of the canal, getting ready to run for it." Gardner has refused to join the tight-knit group of Vietnam veterans who are staunch supporters of their former comrades’ White House bid. However, Kerry has described his former crewman’s version of events as "made-up". "It’s sad," he told his biographer, Douglas Brinkley, "but that’s the way it goes in war, and especially in politics." Gardner’s portrayal of a timid Kerry are at odds with the accounts of other crewmembers. John Hurley, the national director of the Vietnam Veterans for Kerry, said: "John was shocked by this. They all think he’s way off base."

Served aboard the Jenning County LST 846 in Vietnam and am presently trying to prove to the VA that it was an in country tour. Any help from others stating that it was In Country would be greatly appreciated. I do remember spending some time in Saigon drydock while getting the bottom of the ship patched after running over a sunken ship. I dont remember the river we attempted to go up when we hit the sunken ship. I beleive it was the Bassac or Mekong, one of the several channels. Would also like to hear from anyone who knows of any reunion plans or maybe would like to help in setting one up. I was stationed at Navcommsta Phil after I left the ship and remember seeing it beached in Subic City it was there for several years, I left the Philippines in 1974 and it was still there. Somebody told me that the ship had caught fire in August of 70 and was then stricken from the register. some company in Taiwan was supposed to have boughten it to haul logs from the P.I., the last I heard was that it was taken out and sunk. I regret not taking pictures of it while it was beached in the Philippines, I am still trying to contact anyone who saw it and may have taken pictures... TOM...

Was in Navy from August 67 to March 71. Had three tours in Vietnam two on USS ST Paul (CA-73) and one on the YR-71. Was on the YR-71 in Danang and was on board when we moved to Cat Lo, Vung Tau, Bhien Thuy and Tan Chau. Things that I remember... When the 122 rockets hit in and around SCRF in early 70 and I ended up having my head stitched up. The recovery of GMG2 Tullers PBR after he was KIA. Body recovery with Randy Jacobson. (Later found out that the soldier we recovered, because he was killed in Cambodia was considered a deserter!) I also remember that the crew of the YR-71 was one of the best bunch of guys that I ever served with. Left the Navy after leaving Vietnam and came home, finished my degree, and went back into the Army and retired as Chief Warrant Officer in 1990. I arrived in Da Nang in Oct 1965 and served on LCU 1484. I was an RM3 and ran the radio and helm. We ran supplies from Da Nang harbor up the river to where the deep harbor piers were later built. Everything was new and a mess. There were very few piers, so we just pulled up onto shore wherever we could. I remember places like the White Elephant, monkey mountain, red beach, China Beach. Stayed at Camp Tien Sha in the old French barracks just before I left for home. Chu Lai was nothing but a beach master tent when we arrived that first night. I had the first watch and was never so scared in all my life. A lot of good and bad things happened during that year. I'll always remember my tour. God bless all of you.

An Army compound was located nearby, about 1/2 mile and a Navy compound, about 1 1/2 miles away. One of my co-workers and I developed a program to vaccinate children with DPT and polio vaccines. I don't know exactly how many we vaccinated, but it was quite a large amount. I've always been curious as to how effective it was. We did all sorts of repair work on the Yankee and VN boats that operated in the Gulf of Siam area. Then we went to Nha Be and anchored in the Long Tau river in between the banks of the Rung Sat swamp and the base at Nha Be doing Vietnamization of PCFs for the December turnover to the Hai Quan. Came back in 72 to Siagon and Cat Lo to instruct the Hai Quan PCF sailors in our PMS maintenance system. While in An Thoi, I went over at night to the APL, might have been APL 21, to play poker with the Swift drivers and the APL XO named Yodarian. Only swiftie who's name I recall was a fellow named Kenny. Wish I could hear from some of them again.

"CORRECTION" I wanted to correct my earlier story concerning an operation were I referenced Tango 92-1 as the particular boat being in the fire fight on January 15, 1969. The correct tango boat was T-92-10. On that night T-92-10 was patrolling as a unit of operation 'Barrier reef', on the exceptionally narrow Dong Tien canal, it came under rocket and automatic weapons fire at close range. We Sustained three rocket hits and were raked with machine gun fire, our entire crew of six men aboard were injured. Our boat had to be towed to the River Assault Flotilla ONE facilities at Dong Tam for repair. If anyone from that boat crew reads this message please contact me. Thanks Rich

I was stationed off the DMZ on the USS Okinawa helicopter carrier with the 3rd Marines. I was an onboard EM-3 Shipboard Electrician's Mate from 1967 through 1968. In 1968 I was reassigned to the Navy's Mobile Riverine Force in the Mekong Delta. I was assigned as a 20mm gunner on Alpha boat 92-1. I went on R&R and when I returned I was re-assigned to Tango 92-1 as there 20 gunner. On Jan. 16,1969, 12:45AM, An Long cambodian border, while on river operations with one PBR and 20 South Vietnamese Army personnel we came under heavy AK47 small arms and RPG rocket fire. Myself and four other fellow Navy personnel sustained injuries. I returned to Dong Tam and received notice of an early out since I had less than six months left of my second tour. I returned to Long Beach, calif. and was discharged. I recently retired as a civilian in 2002 with the Dept. of Defense after 27 years. Some of my positions held included: Aircraft Electrician- F-4s, F16s, and Air Force Thunderbirds. Quality Assurance Inspector-Peacekeeper, Minuteman, Atlas and TITAN ballistic missiles. It has been quite a trip. But my best and fondness memories were those of the buddies I made in Nam who I'll remember forever. If any of you guys read this shoot me an e-mail. Thanks Rich

Iarrived in Dong Tam, I dont remember what month, in 1967. The installation was primative. We set up all communications in this compound and subsequently provided all communications including telephone and radio for support of your river boats and other units assigned there. I dont remember a whole hell of a lot any more, but I do remember the tet offensive, mortors and misseles,[sp]. I also had pictures, a few, of the early days of the compound. Mixed up in a divorce after discharge and all I had, everything, was lost. I guess she was glad to get rid of me. I realize this is a collection of information for Navy veterens, but I just wanted to say hello to others that I shared the same space and a few beers with so many years ago. First tour was on the Harnett County, LST 821 for 1 year, on the Vam Co Dong River. We had PBR's and also supported Sea Dragon helo's. We were just downstream of the Ben Luc bridge and were support and cover for the Seabees while they built a base on shore. Saw many firefights - almost nightly fire support for the army guys. Second and third tours were on the USS Buchanan, DDG 14. Did some plane guard behind the carriers and also a lot of shore fire all up and down the coast. We lobbed many tons of 5" shells inland to keep Charlie from sleeping too soundly - ha ha. We were also in on the mining of HaiPhong harbor - way up North towards the end of the war. Hi I'm Bob Hanson I was 18 when I arrived in country Via the Monmouth County LST 1032, having caught the ship in Japan where she had been in for repairs. The girls there all called me Bebe San thanks to my rosy cheeks and I had no idea what to expect. The first several months were the most difficult to adjust to, after that the work and routine led to boredom punctuated by moments of terror. I think the first time we received enemy fire my heart just about leapt out of my chest. One thing is for sure, I wished we could have been traveling a lot faster than 12 knots! Freefire zones were also a big joke, the only time I ever remember firing at anything was when we were at sea. Of course that didn't stop Charlie. Yes we were a Large Slow Target. Time has erased a lot of the bad memories but then I never cared to try to remember much. A lot of the pictures bring back remembrances of the names if not the places. I served in the black gang and so (except on off hours and Sundays)I didn't see a lot of Vietnam. I remember the planes putting down the agent orange and the browning vegetation, there were also the terrible fireworks shows too. I was one of the guys that was in charge of filtering the river water and adding chlorine so we could have our daily coctail of laundry, bathing, feces and agent orange tainted drinking water. I started noticing symptoms of neuropathy after the Navy bade me farewell. Of course I had no Idea what it was at the time. The tumors in my feet and the daily (all day long) burning are a constant reminder of my service. The VA has disallowed me because I didn't report the pain I was feeling within a year of leaving Vietnam. Oh well I do remember the gladness with which we were received when we resupplied the riverboat bases. The 24/7 duty we pulled was rewarded with good food (except for the cold storage eggs)and an occaisional r&r trip to Hong Kong and repairs in the Phillipines or Japan. I only remember three names My chief Electrician named Carter ,my best friend Vince Lechner and a guy who used to play the guitar named Melvin South. Of course there was Farmer who was fom Iowa or Nebraska it seemed. Oh yeah, wait EM1 ****. Speaking of engineman ****. He had a bunch of guys who would raid the Army or Airforce bases for midnight requisitions. One time, while we were in Vung Tau They took a LCVP to the Army's base and requisitioned a boat. (It was a beauty with twin 40 horse Mercury outboards) Upon arrival at the ship the LCVP was hoisted on the davit and the ship's crane loaded the boat in the tank deck. After plenty of zinc chromate for primer and a nice Vietnamese colored paint job (Red and Yellow) we had a GREAT looking SKI BOAT! The Captain caught a hop to Hong Kong and bought water skis, a tow rope and waist float. After the heat died down the crew went skiing in Vung Tau harbor! It wasn't until the XO got drunk on New Year's Eve that our morale booster was seized. You see he had a great drunken idea. Since we had gotten away with stealing a boat he would go us one better. He decided to steal a Jeep. (After all, what's wrong with having an official ship's Jeep since we have a boat and a German Shepherd mascot???) Needless to say it didn't take a Sherlock Holmes to figure out where the jeep had gone, we were the only LST on the beach that had raised its bow ramp. Can you say eenie meenie miney moe? Well it would have been funny if the Navy or the Army would have had a good sense of humor. No, the Captain was reassigned and the XO was busted and we ended up with a new Captain who was out to make a name for himself. Oh well, I wasn't an angel either and besides, that's war. By the way, Brown Water Navy and dirt road liberty was something I will never forget, if you were a crewman who served between 68 and 70 and you would like to comment or relate your story I'd like to hear from you. Thanks, Bob Hanson

Great web site, guess when I was on all those ships, I was in charge of movies, getting to the ships by helo, vert rep, or just pulling along side, we supplied one hell of a lot of ships and boats in Nam. Beer was cheap but Coca-Cola was at a premium. The un-sung heroes were the men that supplied those boats and ships, but they always was happy to see us with mail and food for them. The USS Sheldrake (AGS)surveyed in the Delta for almost 1 year, what miserable duty, damn it was hot down that engine room. Just wanted to share a moment in time when we were in the South China Sea, when the ocean was churning as far as the eye could see, was a ocean of sea snakes. The sea was black and yellow and snakes were thick like a bowl of rice. The mating of the sea snakes, God awlful site. I was on the USS Coral Sea when we helped rescue the SS Maraquez and for the evac of Saigon previous to that. Enjoying life. Anybody know of EN2 Birch, Tango 2, Dong Tam? I still have the patch he gave me, and for years had the flag from his Tango boat that a mine took. Thanks for the site. It's the first I've read. Some really bad memories, but lots of really good memories. If any of you got to An Thoi, that was my Tennesse flag that flew over our hooches on the beach. I've still got the flag and a picture of it flying (with a Carling Black Label case on the ground near us) right by the hard floored tent that eventually was taken away by a typhoon, but my TN flag survived, by doggies. Thu and I were married in 1971 in My Tho and moved to the USA in June of that year. I retired to Bangkok about 5 years ago, and life is great.

Served with the MAT Team 65 out of Sa Dec. Have a lot of good memories about the Navy's Mess Hall at Sa Dec. Some of the best chow in the Delta! Seal Team from Sa Dec was a bunch of great guys. Operated with us doing ambush duty near our village. The swift boats would insert us up and down the Mekong River. If we had to go into some of the contributaries, we would use Boston Whalers with twin 40 HP engines. I know this isn't very interesting, but I just wanted to say "Thank You" for all the great help and the great chow.

I was an RD-3 working in the operations center bunker at Solid Anchor from Dec 1970 to May 1971. My GQ station was the Vietnamese CCB which would either go out and idle into the current (from which ever direction), or tie up to the fuel barge, which really worried me as the short rounds fell in the river. I remember no names from Nam Can, except an Army Radioman called "Sarge" and a fellow RD at RSSZ named Gary Noreen. I have photos from Solid Anchor that I would like help in identifying individuals if anyone is interested. If any fellow vets have anything good (or bad) to say about John Kerry I would like to hear it. His record seems pretty negative to me, but I wasn't on his boat. Welcome home!

A Coast Guard BMCS that was assigned to at least five different CG WPB's starting at Cat Lo, to Cam Rhan Bay, to An Thoi and then back to Vung Tau. High point of my tour was to be in on blowing up the trawler near the Song Bo De (2/68). Had my butt up rivers and lagoons from Cam Rhan Bay all the way down to [stinking] An Thoi where I have very fond memory of the "Tut" [USS Tutuila] patching my boat up. I almost feel like "Square bay" and Cau Mau point in monsoon weather was more dangerous than the VC ever was for me. Record 1382 In late 1967 the Phibron Five Ready Group was ordered to extract the 3rd Marines from Dong Ha, give them a week of seasickness, feed them Thanksgiving Dinner, then land them somewhere else. The Iwo Jima (or was it the Okinawa) would send its helos to pick up the infantry. My ship would send 4 borrowed LCM6s to ferry the artillery. I would go in Boat #2. The worst part was the briefing for all Captains and Boat Officers in the LPH the day before, with a huge wall map of the Cua Viet and a vivid account of all the bad things that had happened there to date. We were warned to watch for floating mines, mortar opportunities, secretly armed sampans, "spider holes" and other horrors as we ran the gauntlet. We were ordered not to return fire unless (1) we could visually identify the perpetrator and (2) we received radio permission from very high up the chain of command. We were also ordered not to share this information with the crews or gunner volunteers since it might unnecessarily affect their effectiveness. The actual trip wasn't quite as bad as the briefing, although we did have some trouble about four miles upriver, with fishing boats coming alongside, under the useless .50s, and parking across my bow, feeding a line which wrapped around one of my screws. Thank God it wasn't both of them. Thank God also for the UDT guy, who, when I sent him forward to "shoot at floating mines," knew just what to do. There's more but that's enough. A lot of other stuff happened during my scattered brownwater visits, but that's the day that I think about every day and on bad nights.

I looked at the PBR at was damaged when a crane failed on the Web-Site and I had the same thing happen on the 9 early in 1968. I have several pictures and will attempt to scanner the pictures and e-mail to the Webmaster. If anyone has any information about James Henry, EN-3 Sunny, GM-3 Hatfield, and TM-2 Smithy please write me on the e-mail address provided. Everyone referrs to the APL 46 being in Vinh Long but I reminder APL 55 being docked near the open market down stream from the 9. The APL and the 9 went mid stream as I was leading to go home in 10-68. I also have an old cruise book issued for 66-67 covering all Navel Support Bases in the Delta.
